2. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us, what we collect automatically, and what we receive from third parties.

2.1 Information you give us

  • Account and purchase data: name, email address, and login credentials when you register or buy a product.
  • Payment data: billing details processed through our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers (see Section 6).
  • Newsletter data: the email address (and any name) you submit when subscribing through our signup form.
  • Communications: messages you send us through the contact form, email, or social media.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect certain data automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent
  • Referring website and exit pages

See Section 7 for details on cookies and how to control them.

2.3 Information from third parties

We may receive limited information from platforms you interact with, such as social networks (if you reach us through Facebook or Instagram) and our payment, hosting, and email providers, in order to complete transactions and deliver our services.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Deliver the products you buy (ebooks, audiobooks, paperbacks, courses) and give you access to member areas and online exercises
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Send the newsletter and other emails you have requested
  • Respond to your questions and provide customer support
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our content
  • Measure traffic and understand how the Site is used
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

4. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Contract: to deliver products and services you have purchased or requested.
  • Consent: to send marketing emails and to set non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the Site, prevent fraud, and improve our services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers who act on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery (our newsletter provider), analytics, and payment processing.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers, if Learning Enlightened Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information may transfer to the successor entity.

A note for California residents: some data sharing for analytics or advertising may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law. See Section 9 for your rights and how to opt out.

6. Payments

Payments on the Site are handled by third-party payment processors, Stripe and PayPal. When you pay, your card or account details are submitted directly to the processor and handled under their security standards and privacy policy. We receive confirmation of the transaction and limited billing details, but not your full card number.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the Site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site.

  • Essential cookies are needed for core features such as logging in and completing purchases.
  • Analytics cookies help us measure traffic and improve the Site. We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) for this purpose. Google may process this data as described in its own privacy policy.
  • Social and embedded content from platforms such as Facebook and Instagram may set their own cookies when present.
  • Advertising cookies: we do not currently run paid advertising, but we may in the future use advertising and retargeting technologies (for example, the Meta Pixel or Amazon and Google advertising tags). If and when we do, these will be subject to your consent through our cookie consent tool, and this policy will reflect that use.

We use CookieYes as our cookie consent management tool. When you first visit the Site, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the CookieYes banner, and you can change your choices at any time through the same tool. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. To opt out of Google Analytics across sites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
