I like this idea of having three options:

  • Transform your current situation
  • Accept your current situation
  • Leave your current situation

If we applied this to your Spanish learning situation, that would mean:

  • Transform your Spanish situation (put time and effort to get better at it)
  • Accept your current Spanish situation (learn to deal with this reality)
  • Stop engaging and ‘leave’ the Spanish language (decide you’re going to stop interacting with it)

The person I learned this from said that oftentimes, we live in in-between spaces. We like to fool ourselves. We say we want to transform our lives and then we don’t do much about it. Or we would like to leave a situation and stop engaging, but we keep doing the same things over and over. We lie to ourselves.

It’s important to be honest with ourselves, without judging the situation.

Do you really want to transform your Spanish?

Do you want to accept and come to terms with your situation?

Do you want to stop engaging with the language and leave the learning process?

All of them are valid options and are available to you at any given moment.

What’s your choice now?

And if you wanna transform your language skills, getting practice to go from A1 to A2, A2 to B1 and so forth, maybe you wanna take a look at the Spanish Novels series. Find the ebooks and audiobooks below:
